Our first broken bone

Christian broke his arm in the middle of our family pictures.... we told him to go play on the gazebo in the park and the next thing we know.... he comes over screaming. Of course, we told him to brush it off, get it together, etc... but that was before we saw his arm. So, Christian gets to start off the summer with a little extra padding on his arm...

Had a good day on Friday volunteering with Foster Care Support group in Roswell, GA. Was so impressed by the operation. It is all completely privately funded and they provide clothing, school supplies, shoes, backpacks, etc.. for kids who live in a foster home. As a volunteer, you pick a few kids, and basically shop for them in a huge room of clothing, toys and gear. While doing this, I was reminded about just how blessed we are to have the creature comforts that a lot of these kids and their parents do not. I also was inspired by people who would open their home to children they don't even know and treat them as their own child. Anyways, if you are ever looking for a place to volunteer some time, I know it would be appreciated and you'll definately leave with a good feeling in your heart.
